Miller

Mrs. Caroline Miller, nee Rixe, whose home is five miles north of Bennett, Ia., on R.R.I. died Monday afternoon at 5:30 in Mercy hospital as the result of a stroke of apoplexy. She was removed to the hospital a week ago when she fell and broke her leg.

She was born in Hanover, Germany, 63 years ago and came with her parents to America in 1868, direct to Cedar County. In 1878 she was married to Henry Miller, and the couple engaged in farming six miles west of Louden, Ia. Six of the seven children born to this union survive with the husband: Misses Amelia and Caroline Miller and Mrs. Henry Fullrider of Bennett, Ia., and Herman, Louis and Ernest Miller; also a sister, Mrs. C. Pauls of Louden, Ia., and two brothers, Fred and Ernest Rixe of Bennett.
