Christ Hoffmann passed away at his hone in Fishertown Sunday at 1:15 p.m., after a lingering illness. He was born Dec. 25, 1842(sic). He was a resident of Scott county since 1850 and served through the Civil war. His wife died eight years ago. He is survived by two daughters, Dora and Cecilia, four brothers, Henry, Rudolph, Andrew, all of Scott county, and Charley, of Coon Rapids, Iowa. Also, three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 from the home in Fishertown, with interment in Fairmount.
