The Davenport Democrat and Leader; Thursday Evening, January 1, 1925:

Collins

Mrs. Martha J. Collins, wife of A. S. Collins, general traffic agent of the C.R.I. & P. railroad, located at St. Paul, Minn., and daughter of the late Jacob L. and Louisa H. Crook, died December 31, 1924, at her home in St. Paul after a short illness.

The deceased was born February 16, 1871 at Atkinson, Ill., and was reared and educated in Davenport. While a resident here she was a member of the Baptist church. She leaves to mourn her many friends.

Surviving are her husband, A. S. Collins, one son, W. A. Collins of Des Moines, two brothers, L. J. Crook, and R. W. Crook, both of Davenport, and two sisters, Mrs. C. F. Weber of Buffalo, N.Y., and Mrs. O. L. Albaugh of Davenport.

The body will arrive in Davenport Friday morning at 6:30 o’clock, and funeral services will be held from the home of her brother, R. W. Crook, 122 West Central Park avenue, Saturday afternoon at two o’clock. Interment will take place in Oakdale cemetery.
