Mrs. Naomi Thorington

A very brief telegram was received yesterday by Prof. D. S. Sheldon of this city from George B. Bratt, of Philadelphia. It simply said: “Naomi Thorington died yesterday at Aspinwall. No particulars.” Brief as it is, no more is needed to convey to the reader the painful intelligence.

Mrs. Naomi Thorington was the daughter of Hon. James Thorington, our former well known townsman, now United States Consul at Aspinwall. She was a lady of about 33 years of age, known by hundreds of our citizen from childhood. It was Mr. Thorington’s intention to visit the States about the middle of June.
