Sage

Yesterday morning at the Newcomb at about 10 o’clock, occurred the death of Mrs. Amanda Sage, mother of Mrs. Dr. Sharp. Mrs. Sage was 85 years of age, and was a very estimable old lady, beloved by all who knew her. Her loss is a sad blow to the doctors family. The funeral is to take place this afternoon at 2 o’clock.

Mrs. Amanda Sage, relict of Col. Henry Sage, of the war of 1812, died at the Newcomb House, on yesterday aged 85 years. She leaves children surviving her as follows: Mrs. Dr. Sharpe, of this city; Col. H. Sage, of Dayton, Ohio; Mrs. S. L. Williams, of Washington, D. C., and Mrs. Graham, of Leavenworth, Kansas.

Funeral services will be held ______? Newcomb House at two o’clock this afternoon. Her remains will be taken to Piqua, Ohio, for interment.
