Mrs. M. E. Myers, Age 73, is Dead in Twp. of Birth

Mrs. Margaret Ellen Myers, age 73, wife of Simeon B. Myers, died Saturday at 4 a.m. at her home in Buffalo after a short illness.

Margaret Ellen Mounts was born on May 6, 1853, in Buffalo township, receiving her education in schools in that locality. May 15, 1870, she was married to Simeon B. Myers in Rock Island.

She was a member of the Methodist church in which she was active until recent years. Devoted to her home and family interests, at the same time, she was well known in and around Buffalo for her benevolent ways.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, Simeon E. of Buffalo, and Lafe of Blue Grass; two daughters, Mrs. Lafe Stennett of Buffalo, and Mrs. William Roe of Davenport; one sister, Mrs. H. H. Holt of Montpelior, Iowa; 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Friends’ church in Buffalo with interment in Rosehill cemetery. The Rev. Evans of the church will officiate.
