OBITUARY

JAEGER, Jurgen H. Died this morning at 10 o'clock at his home, No. 1217 West Third street, aged 75 years.

Mr. Jaeger was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, in 1829. In 1856 he came to Davenport and has made this city his home since that time. He opened a grocery business at 1217 West Third street in 1866, but retired in 1873, being succeeded by his son Henry, who still conducts the business.

He is survived by his son Henry, and two daughters, Mrs. Peter Lantrap, and Miss Clara Jaeger, all of this city.

Mr. Jaeger was a charter member of the Scott (German) lodge, No. 37 I.O.O.F. and was highly respected by the order at large.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence and will be under the auspices of Scott lodge. The interment will be in the City cemetery.
