OBITUARY

EAGAL, Theodore D. The funeral services over the remains of the late Theodore D. Eagal were held yesterday at 2 o'clock at Trinity church.

The solemn ritual service of the Episcopal church was read by the Rev. G. DeWitt Dowling, rector of the church, Bishop Morrison preaching the funeral sermon. The choir sang "Tarry With Me, Oh, My Savior," and an Easter hymn, expressive of joy at the resurrection.

The body was escorted to the grave by the members of Davenport lodge, No. 7 and representatives from the other Odd Fellows lodges in the city. At the grave the burial services were conducted by the Odd Fellows according to their ritual, Rev. Dowling offering a short prayer.

The pallbearers were J.J. Richardson, C.H. Vincent, George T. Baker, from the vestry of Trinity church, and Isaac Rothschild, D.M. Landis and J.T. Temple from Davenport lodge of Odd Fellows.

The floral offerings were profuse and beautiful the vestry of Trinity, the Odd Fellows lodges and other organizations sending handsome designs worked in flowers, while numerous friends of the family sent their tributes also. All the larger pieces were left at the grave, but the smaller ones were sent to the hospital to help comfort the sufferings of those who are sick.
