September 02, 1947 ~ August 14, 2017Mildred Marlee Egly, daughter of Leon & Margaret (McNair) Daniel, was born September 2, 1947 at Norfolk, Nebraska. Marlee graduated from high school in Stanton, Nebraska. She married Landon Hansen on June 12, 1964 and to this marriage, three sons were born. She married John Egly, II on April 8, 1977 in Mount Ayr and two more sons were added to the family.
Marlee passed away August 14, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John Egly; brother Bob Daniel; sister Mae Lubbert; grandson Niall Hansen.
Survivors include her five sons Jeff (Deb) Hansen, Joe (Robin) Hansen, Jon (Crystal) Hansen, John (DaNelle) Egly, III, and Josh Egly; 13 grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Open visitation will be held at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr on Friday, August 18 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Burial is in the Redding Cemetery in Redding, Iowa following a private graveside service.
A memorial fund has been established in her name. Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr is in charge of the arrangements for Marlee.
