OBITUARY ~ LOUISE ANN (PALMER) DONALD
September 17, 1951 ~ August 06, 2017

Louise Ann (Palmer) Donald was born September 17, 1951 in Mount Ayr, Iowa to Robert Archie and Marjorie (Dady) Palmer. She graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1969 and later graduated from Hamilton Business School.

Louise was the 1st female graduate of the Iowa Barber College. She was united in marriage to Jerry Donald on September 6, 1970. To this union were two boys, Adam and Mathew. In 1973, they settled in Clear Lake and resided there until 1991 when they moved to Pleasant Hill. During this time Louise worked as an administrative assistant. In 2015, they moved to Mount Ayr where her and Jerry currently resided.

Louise was a member of the Clear Lake Christian Church Disciples of Christ and was currently attending Mount Ayr First Christian Church.

Louise passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the Ringgold County Hospital.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Richard Archie Palmer and Martin Allen Palmer.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jerry; two sons Mathew (Amy) Donald and Adam (Suzie) Donald; brother Robert (Martha) Palmer; sister Gerrie Palmer.

Services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2017, First Christian Church – Mount Ayr with officiant Pastor Darin Dolecheck.

Interment was made at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Iowa.

Memorial Funds may be made to Mount Ayr Christian Church, HCI Care Services or Ringgold County Hospital.

Armstrong Funeral Home – Mount Ayr, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.
