OBITUARY ~ COLLEEN WOLFE, OSCEOLA

LENOX - Colleen M. WOLFE, 55, 601 S. Main Street, Osceola, died of cancer Sept. 30, 1993, at Mercy Hospital in Corning.

Services were 2 p.m. Oct. 4 at the United Methodist Church in Lenox. The Rev. Les CALHOUN officiated the service. Music was by Paul SINK, organist, and Billie Jean BARKER and Marilyn BECK, vocalists. Burial was in the West Fairview Cemetery in Lenox with the Coen-Beaty Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Mike, Russell and Wayne RILEY, Greg and Don KASTLI, and John OUTHIER.

Mrs. WOLFE was born Sept. 15, 1938, in Sharpsburg to Clarence and Helen (BILEY) RILEY. She grew up in Sharpsburg and graduated from Diagonal High School in 1957. She attended beauty school for two years and worked as a beautician for many years. She lived in Osceola for several years and was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Osceola.

Surviviors include son, Brion WOLFE of Osceola; two stepsons, Michael and Todd WOLFE of St. Louis, Mo.; brother, Darrell (wife Mary) RILEY of Bennington, Neb.; mother, Helen RILEY of West Des Moines; and a special friend, Don KASTLI of Osceola.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence in 1966.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 4, 1993 at the United Methodist Church in Lenox, Iowa, for Colleen M. WOLFE, Osceola, Iowa beautician, who died September 30, 1993, at Mercy Hospital in Corning, Iowa.

She was also a contract carrier for Pathfinder Private Delivery System and delivered The Advertiser in downtown Osceola. She underwent surgery about six weeks ago for cancer. She had been receiving medical treatment in California and returned to Iowa on Monday, September 27 and died unexpectedly on September 30, at the age of 55.

The Rev. Les CALHOUN officiated at the funeral services, with music being provided by Paul SINK, organist, and Billie Jean BARKER and Marilyn BECK, vocalists. Burial was in West Fairview Cemetery at Lenox, Iowa. Casketbearers were Mike RILEY, Russell RILEY, Greg KASTLI, Wayne RILEY, John OUTHIER and Don KASTLI.

Colleen Mae RILEY, daughter of Clarence and Helen BILEY RILEY, was born at Sharpsburg, Iowa on September 15, 1938. She graduated from Diagonal High School in 1957 and attended beauty school for two years. She had lived in Osceola for serval years. She purchased the historic Dr. HARKEN home and operated her beauty shop in the remodeled carriage house. She was a member of the Osceola Eagles Lodge.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence, who died in 1966. She is survived by her son, Brion WOLFE of Osceola; two stepsons, Michael and Todd WOLFE of St. Louis, Missouri; her mother, Helen RILEY of West Des Moines; her brother, Darrell RILEY and his wife, Mary, of Bennington, Nebraska; a niece, Diane RILEY; nephews, Michael and David RILEY, and her dear friend, Don KASTLI of Osceola.
