OBITUARY ~ D. D. RUSH
Dennis Daniel RUSH, son of John and LaVina RUSH, was born March 30, 1872, near Delphos, Iowa, and passed away February 28, 1956, at his home in Brownsdale, Minn., at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 28 days.
He grew to manhood in Ringgold county and on December 24, 1894, was united in marriage with Margaret (Maggie) LAHS. They resided on a farm until 1912, when they moved to Indianola. In 1919, they moved to a farm north of Brownsdale and about seven years ago established a residence in Brownsdale.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife; five daughters, Esther (Mrs. Russell NAZUM), of St. Charles; Estella (Mrs. Sophus CARSTENS), of Buchinal; Ruth (Mrs. Arnold ZIEMER), of Amery, Wis.; Zella (Mrs. Paul HENDRICKS), of Brainerd, Minn.; and Naomi (Mrs. Melvin LUCKOW), of Milkaukee, Wis.; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a half-brother, Sam RUSH, of Greeley, Colo., and a half-sisters, Mrs. George STUCK, of Harrisburg, Ore.
Funeral services were held March 2, from the Baptist church in Brownsdale, with the Rev. Frank PETERSON officiating. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery, Brownsdale.
