Wall, John Adam -
John Adam Wall, son of Adam and Polly Wall, was born on a farm near Grant City, Mo., May 9. 1870 and departed this life at his home in Clearfield May 6, 1954 at the age of 83 years, 11 months and 27 days.

On May 71, 1888 he was united in marriage to Cora L Stanbus at Grant City. They established their home nearby. To this union were born five sons and four daughters, two sons, David and Don, preceded the father in death.

Surviving are the three sons, Orville and Otis Wall of Clearfield; Floyde Wall of Shenandoah; also the four daughters, Angle Waugh, Afton; Fern Lourie, of Convay; Hazel Nelson, Roswell, N. M.;
and Frieda Snoenhair, Creston.

The family lived near Grant City until 1911 when they moved to Ringgold County, la., near Diagonal. Mr. Wall later operated a produce house until they moved to Lenox. The past eight years have been spent in Clearfield.

He was a faithful and consistent member of the Christian church from his youth. He was a loving husband, father and enjoyed visiting with friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. two sons and one sister.

Surviving besides the wife and children are 16 grandchildren,20 great grandchildren, 2 nieces and 2 nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services. Rev Wm Howes officiating, were held Monday at Clearfield Christian church with burial in Lenox cemetery.
