Zaruba, Jerry -
Funeral services were held at Diagonal at 2 p. m. Saturday for
Jerry Zaruba, 77, who died at his home there Thursday. Burial
was in the Bohemian cemetery southeast of Diagonal. He is survived by his wife, a son Lawrence of Diagonal and a daughter Irene in California.

He was a farmer for many years but had retired and had lived in
town for the past three years. He had made a miniature United States on his farm. He had traveled widely and brought home a rare collection of rocks to use in this interesting display. Friends also brought him rocks from various states. He was offered one thousand dollars to build a replica of this United States for another man but was too busy farming, having made his own during spare
time. He was also known as a fine musician and lover of music
his daughter, Irene also being an accomplished musician
