Worthington, Eddie Sandord –
Eddie Sanford Worthington was born to Vincent and Hannah
Hartley Worthington, Nov. 14, 1876 at Maloy, Iowa, and passed from this life April 18, 1951, aged 74 years, 5 months and 4 days-
He was united in marriage to Anna Mae Baxter at Maloy, la.,
March 3, 1903. Mrs. Worthington preceded him in death, Nov. 3,
1934.
Six daughters, all of whom survive, were born to this union:
Mildred Saville, Redding. Iowa, Gail Rothmeyer, Milwaukee, Wis.; Madge Nelson and Jean Harvey of Clearfield; Edwilda Coursey, San Francisco, Calif. and Pauline Worthington of Roswell, New Mexico.

Mr. Worthington farmed near Maloy and Clearfield all his life. He attended the Baptist church in his early days and professed that faith all his life. Mr. Worthington was a good husband and father, careful in the upbringing of his daughters and deeply devoted to his grandchildren. He was a highly respected and helpful neighbor
always ready to lend assistance. Extremely honest himself, he
resented deception in others and protected the interests of his friends. He will be missed by those who knew him best.

Besides the six daughters, he is survived by nine grandchildren
and two brothers, Sam Worthington of Maloy and John of Clarinda.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 21 at the Methodist
church in Clarinda. Clergymen were F. H. Cowles of Bedford and Rev. C. E. McPherson.
Interment was in Clearfield cemetery.
