OBITUARY ~ VAN JONES NOBLE

Van Jones NOBLE, son of Van and Mary ELLIS NOBLE, was born October 29, 1880, in Decatur county, Iowa, and passed away February 7, 1956, at his home near Kellerton, at the age of 75 years, three months and eight days.

He was united in marriage to Levice SMITH on March 18, 1903, and to this union were born six children - three daughters and three sons - three of whom preceded him in death.

Most of his life was spent in Ringgold county and he was a member of the Caledonia Methodist church, where he had professed his faith.

Survivors are his companion; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie LAMB, of Escondido, Calif.; two sons, Don, of Kellerton, and Norman, of Mount Ayr; a sister, Mrs. Faresta MOSBARGER, of Kellerton; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral rites were held Friday afternoon, February 10, at 2 o'clock, from the Prugh-Dunfee Chapel in Mount Ayr, conducted by the Rev. Orville RINEHART. Interment was in the Rose Hill cemetery.
