Little, George Lester –
George Lester Little, was born August 12, 1887 at Nauvoo, Ill. and died at his home in Clearfield Friday afternoon, January 15 [1943], after a long illness.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Little who preceded him in death.
His parents moved to St. Charles, Ia. when Lester was five years old. Then they moved to Tingley, Ia. where Lester spent his boyhood days. He attended school at Tingley and was married February 12, 1908 to Exle Reynolds of Diagonal. To this union two children were born: Staff Sergt. Carroll D. Little, now stationed in North Africa with the U.S. air corps, and Doris Pitt of Clearfield.

He united with the Methodist church at Mount Ayr and has been faithful to its teachings. He was a kind and loving husband, father and brother and especially fond of his little grandchildren who helped to brighten many long days of suffering.

Funeral services were Monday at two o’clock from the Clearfield Methodist church with the Rev. Mr. Rowe in charge of the rites. Interment was in the Clearfield cemetery.
