Bessie Ullery, age 90, a former missionary teacher in the Navajo Indian School in Farmington, New Mexico, died April 10, 1985 and was buried in the Forest Home Cemetery, Ringgold County, near Redding, Iowa.

She was born October 17, 1894 *parents or any family members were not listed in the obituary and her place of birth was not listed*
She was thre oldest member of the Redding United Methodist Church. She had taught in the Farmington School for 33 years prior to her retirement.

In the Redding church Centennial History, these two pledges of hers are listed: "I pledge to give and work and pray to send the Gospel over the sea that heathen children may soon may know that God loves then as he loves me." and "Whatever, whenever, wherever for my Lord."
