OBITUARY - ETHELENE MAY (OGIER) SCOTT
August 14, 1921 ~ January 20, 2011

Ethelene May SCOTT, age 89, passed away January 20, 2011 at the Indianola Good Samaritan Society Home. She was born August 14, 1921 to Earl and Jessie OGIER on their farm south of Kellerton, IA. After graduating from Kellerton High School and receiving her teaching certificate she taught in several Ringgold County country schools.

Ethelene was married April 30, 1944 to Shellie SCOTT. They lived on their farm in Riley Township in Ringgold County, Iowa. They both moved to Indianola in 1984.Shellie passed in 1985.

Surviving are her daughter Twilla (Bill) DILLARD of Indianola; granddaughter Heather DILLARD of Des Moines; brother Elbert (Ruth) OGIER of Elprida, AZ. along with many nieces, nephews and many friends.

Ethelene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers - Clyde, William, Ralph, Ernest and Glenn; sisters Hazel and Jessie.

She was a long time member of Indianola First United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 at Peterson Funeral Home, 602 E. Salem, with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Maple Row cemetery in Kellerton.
