OBITUARY - RICHARD HARRISON BROCK
January 5, 1917 ~ March 4, 2011

Richard Harrison BROCK, son of Edward & Mary Olive (JONES) BROCK, was born January 5, 1917 at Jewell, Iowa. On May 11, 1940, Richard married Esther VOLD. He farmed near Woolstock and was also the service manager at Jones Implement in Woolstock. After retiring, they enjoyed winters in Texas. Richard enjoyed cards, dominos and square dancing. In 2003, he moved into Webster City and in October, 2008, he moved into the Health Care Center in Mount Ayr.

Richard passed away the morning of March 4, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers Vic & wife Bev BROCK and Roger & wife Hazel BROCK; sister Edna HENG & husband Marion; and brother-in-law LaVerne ANFINSON.

Survivors include his children Dean (Ann) BROCK of Lacanada, California, Bruce (Janet) BROCK of Altoona, Iowa, Wayne (Tonna) BROCK of McKinney, Texas, Cheri (Kevin) DESSINGER of Mount Ayr, Iowa, and Gloria (Doug) KINSETH of Fort Dodge, Iowa; 11 grandchildren including Kris (Clint) SPURRIER of Mount Ayr; 16 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister Frances ANFINSON of Webster City, Iowa; other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Webster City, Iowa. Mr. BROCK was cremated.

Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home of Mount Ayr was in charge of arrangements.
