OBITUARY - C. C. LAWHEAD, MOUNT AYR

MOUNT AYR - Dr. C. C. LAWHEAD, 92, of Mount Ayr died early this morning [September 20, 1985] at the Clearview Nursing Home here.

His funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Mount Ayr First Christian Church. The Rev. Phil KINTON and Milt HENDERSON will officiate with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery here.

LAWHEAD was born Feb. 15, 1893, in Cainsville, Mo., to William and Susan (nee BOOTH) LAWHEAD. He married Ferrah LEAZENBY in Cainsville Sept. 7, 1912. He moved to Mount Ayr in 1914 where he practiced dentistry until he retired in 1955. He ws a member of the Masonic Lodge, First Christian Church in Mount Ayr and Delta Sigma Delta Dental fraternity.

Survivors include his wife, Ferrah of Mount Ayr; a son, Dr. Charles LAWHEAD of Mount Ayr; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established to the First Christian Church in Mount Ayr.

Masonic services will be conducted by Faith Lodge No. 179.
