OBITUARY - MARJORIE ELLEN BARNHOUSE

Marjorie Ellen BARNHOUSE, daughter of Raymon and Florence ELKINS BARNHOUSE, was born near Hatfield, Missouri, September 24, 1908, and passed away May 18, 1987 at Mount Ayr, Iowa, at the age of 78 years.

Her early life was spent near Hatfield, Missouri. She spent 18 years in Arizona and California from 1958 to 1976. her remaining years were spent in Mount Ayr, Iowa, the last six at the Clearview Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, F. E. BARNHOUSE.

She is survived by two brothers, Verdo BARNHOUSE of Grant City, Missouri and Hugh BARNHOUSE of Hatfield, Missouri; three sisters, Alice BOYD and Bonnie GEORGE of Mount Ayr, Iowa and Junetta BARRETT of Grant City, Missouri; six nephews, Larry BARNHOUSE of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; Keith BARNHOUSE of Redlands, California; Jan BOYD of Omaha, Nebraska; Gene BARNHOUSE of Blythedale, Missouri, and Ray UNDERWOOD of Bethany, Missouri; five nieces, Sandra PREMER of Los Gatos, California, Kathy STAMER of Corydon, Iowa, Alicia FISH of Atlanta, Georgia; Glenda STEPHENSON of Grant City Missouri, and Janet URY of Blythedale, Missouri; also numerous grand-nieces and nephews.

Marjorie will be remembered for her devotion to and care and love for the young children of family and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City, Missouri, Wednesday, May 20, 1987 at 2 p.m., conducted by Pastor Bill GORDON of the Hatfield United Methodist Church. Interment was in the Grant City Cemetery.
