Joan TURNER, 87, of Tingley died May 15, 2005, at her home. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21 at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr.

Joan TURNER, 87, of Tingley died May 15, 2005, at her home.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Brian OLIVER will officiate the service. Private burial will be in Tingley Cemetery. The body was cremated and no visitation is planned. Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church in Tingley.
Mrs. TURNER, daughter of Irene (CANNAM) and Marion L. JONES, was born September 17, 1917, in Grant Township, Dallas County. On September 1, 1937, she married Wendell R. TURNER in Bethany, Mo. She was a homemaker and farm wife. She lived in the Tingley area since the late 1970s and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Tingley.
Survivors include nine children, Charles TURNER of New Market, Robert (wife Sally) TURNER of Osceola, Max TURNER of San Diego, Calif., Richard (wife Karen) TURNER of Kansas City, Mo., Van (wife Dawn) TURNER of Eldora, Raymond TURNER of Shenandoah, Jane (husband Bill) WORKMAN of Carbondale, Ill., Audrey (husband Larry) CAMMACK of East Peoria, Ill., and Patricia (husband Larry) LEWELLYN of Austin, Texas; 34 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Mary WILL, infant daughters Judy TURNER and twins Jean and Joan TURNER, son-in-law Lloyd WILL and daughter-in-law Stella TURNER.
