DEATH of HALLIE SAVILLE.

Again has sorrow fallen upon another home in our midst, and the death angel plucked and carried away one of the choicest buds from the domestic circle. "Hallie SAVILLE is dead." Such were the words which greeted our ears yesterday morning. At first the news was hardly credited, when knowing she was at school in her apparently usual health the day before. But the report was soon confirmed. Hallie was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. SAVILLE, and aged about 11 years. She had previously been troubled with heart disease, having one severe spell about a year ago, but lately had been enjoying good health. She first complained of feeling badly Tuesday evening, after her return from school. The usual remedies were applied, and she rested till about 5 o'clock yesterday morning. From that time on she gradually grew worse, and died in a short time. The disease which caused her death was rheumatisim of the heart. The funeral services will be held in the M. E. church this morning, conducted by Rev. THOMPSON. The sympathy of our entire community is extended to the bereaved family and friends.

OBITUARY.

This community was suddenly called to sympathize with Mr. and Mrs. J. H. SAVILLE in the loss of their little daughter, Helen Edith, who died October 31, 1888.

She was born November 15, 1877 and in her brief life endeared herself to many hearts. Although she had been afflicted for some time, yet death came suddenly. She was at school the day before, and went down town with her mother in the evening. After considerable restlessness and suffering in the night, there came in the morning that "blessed sleep from which none ever wake to weep." Hallie, as she was commonly called, was a sweet little girl, mature beyond her years, and what is of more importance than all else, was a christian, at the prospect of death saying she was "not afraid." Many will long remember her testimony in the services of the house of God. Her term of probation in the Methodist Espicopal church had nearly expired, and she was looking forward to the time of her reception into full membership when she was thus early translated to the company of the redeemed before the throne. May the memory of her beautiful life and the thought of that perfect life upon which she has entered help to lead her little friends to her Saviour, and bring comfort to her bereaved home.
