OBITUARY - LIAL F. SALTZMAN

Lial F. SALTZMAN, 93, of Mount Ayr, formerly of Tingley, died June 9, 2004, at Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 14, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Terry ROBERTS will officiate the service. Burial will be in Maple Row Cemetery at Kellerton. Open visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday with family visitation 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Mount Ayr. Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church in Mount Ayr.

Mr. SALTZMAN, son of Lora (DAVIS) and Bert SALTZMAN, was born July 20, 1910. On February 24, 1936, he married Dorothy Jeanette DAVENPORT in Mount Ayr. He was a farmer.

Survivors include two daughters, Janetta (husband Allan) HEGGS of Norway and Darlene IRISH of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Richard SALTZMAN of Mount Ayr; two sisters-in-law, Blondena SALTZMAN of Portland, Ore., and Nina SALTZMAN of Mount Ayr; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Robert SALTZMAN and grandson Mark HEGGS.
