OBITUARY - MRS. ADALINE WOOD.

Adaline ELLIS was born in Washington county, Ohio, on August 26, 1838, and departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L. M. BRINKERHOFF of Mount Ayr, Iowa, on July 17th, 1930, aged 91 years, 10 months and 21 days. She was united in marriage to Joseph WOOD on January 21st, 1856, who preceded her in death on December 12th, 1914. To this union was born five children three of whom, together with an only grandchild, Earl BRINKERHOFF, have passed to the Great Beyond. Surviving her are two children, Mrs. L. M. BRINKERHOFF of Mount Ayr, Iowa, and J. B. BOOD of Lexington, Neb.

With her husband she moved from Ohio to Indiana in 1965 and returned to Ohio in 1870 and from there to Missouri in 1875, settling on a farm near Grant City, where they resided until 1900 when they moved to Grant City, where they continued to reside until the death of her husband. Since which time she has made her home with daughter. In early life she united with the United Brethern chruch, later becoming identified with the Methodist church of which she retained membership until her death.

Funeral services were held at the Rhoades Funeral home Saturday afternoon, July 19, at 1:30, conducted by T. S. RHOADES, assisted by Rev. E. S. MENOHER, pastor of the local Methodist church. Interment was made in the Grant City cemetery [Grant City, Worth County, Missouri].

NOTE: Earl BRINKERHOFF died on April 27, 1898 with interment at Grant City Cemetery.
