OBITUARY - DONALD WOOD

Donald "Breezy" WOOD, 85, of Mount Ayr, formerly of Ellston, died March 19, 2004, at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 22, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Brian OLIVER will officiate the service. Burial will be in Ellston Cemetery. Open visitation will be after 11 a.m. Sunday with the family receiving friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Mount Ayr. Memorials may be to the United Methodist Church in Ellston.

Mr. WOOD, son of Myrtle (CASE) and Clarence WOOD, was born June 18, 1918, in Ellston. He graduated from Ellston High School in 1935. On October 23, 1937, he married Pauline GRAY in Tipton. He was a farmer. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ellston, Odd Fellows, Lions Club, past member of ASCS Committee and former Ringgold County Supervisor.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline WOOD of Mount Ayr; four sons, LeRoy (wife Sandi) WOOD of Kellerton, Greg (wife Debbie) WOOD of Billings, Mont., Ron (wife Pam) WOOD of Des Moines and Kenny (wife Diane) WOOD of Muskogee, Okla.; three daughters, Glenda (husband Jim) JOBE of Ellston, Janet (husband Lincoln) JACKSON of Creston and Mary Ann (husband Bob) POTTORFF of Mount Ayr; a foster daughter, Ruby (VANDERPOOL) GROSE of Glen Rock, Wyo.; 31 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Geraldine STEWART and grandson Bobby POTTORFF.
