OBITUARY - MRS. S. B. WILLIAMS.

DIED at Diagonal, December 21, 1898, Mrs. S. B. WILLIAMS. Mary Jane ELLIOTT was born in Muskingum county, Ohio, June 29, 1829. March 12, 1946, she was married to Mr. S. B. WILLIAMS, who with seven children born of this union, survives her. She was 69 years, 5 months, and 22 days old at the time of her death. In 1871 she united with the Prebyterian church at Norwood, Mercer county, Illinois, transferring her membership to the Diagonal church on her removal here. The funeral services were held at the house Friday morning December 23d, conducted by her pastor, Rev. A. S. WIGHT, followed by interment in the Bethel cemetery [near Diagonal].

NOTE: Mary's husband Stephen B. WILLIAMS died at the age of 89 years, 5 months and 14 days on April 6, 1910 with interment at Bethel Cemetery near Diagonal, Ringgold County, Iowa.
