OBITUARY.

Carrie J. WILKINSON nee LANGDON, was born in Lisbon Ill. March 28, 1858 and died in Mt. Ayr Jan. [illegible], 1894. She was married to Fred WILKINSON Jan. 3, 1881, and to them have been born three children who are all living. She has been confined to the house for over a year with the dread disease consumption, which had carried away her father, two brothers and a sister, three of them dying within one week. In 1885 she went to California in search of health but returning stopped in Iowa and settled two and a half miles south of Mt. Ayr. Five years ago they removed to town where they have since resided. Mrs. WILKINSON united with the Congregational church when 14 years of age but after her marriage united with the M. E. church. A consistent christian of deep religious experience, she triumphed in death in christian faith. The funeral services were conducted from the residence at 9:45 Wednesday morning and the remains taken to Lisbon, Illinois for interment.
