OBITUARY - LOIS WHITMORE

Lois WHITMORE, 87, of Clearfield died April 4, 2004, at Clearview Home in Clearfield.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 8, at the Christian Church in Clearfield. The Rev. Eydie STEPHENS will officiate the service. Burial will be in Clearfield Cemetery. Open visitation will be after noon Wednesday with the family receiving friends 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home in Clearfield. Memorials may be directed to Clearfield Public Library or rescue unit.

Miss WHITMORE, daughter of Lillian (BAILEY) and June WHITMORE, was born October 23, 1916, in Ringgold County. She attended schools in Diagonal and Clearfield. She worked as a clerk at Baxter Bros. and Kelly's Grocery stores and at the Clearview Home, all in Clearfield. She was a member of the Clearfield Christian Church, Royal Neighbors of America and Clearfield Lionells.

Survivors include three nephews, Max (wife Kathy) WHITMORE of Plattsmouth, Neb., Don (wife Sandy) WHITMORE of Conroe, Texas, and Paul Roger (wife Maxine) WHITMORE of Stuart; and five nieces, Peggy WHITMORE of Entiat, Wash., Vicki (husband Ken) YODER of Iowa City, Ann (husband Dave) DRISKELL of Creston, Barbara (husband Fred) SCOTT of Carroll and Shiela (husband Jeff) MURPHY of Vienna, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Phil, Jack, Lester and Paul WHITMORE; four sisters-in-law, Emily, Doris, Alice and Jane WHITMORE; nephew Gary WHITMORE and niece Elizabeth Jane.
