OBITUARY - DONALD WHITE

Donald WHITE, 79, of Mount Ayr, Iowa, formerly of Davenport, died Friday, Sept. 19, at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines.

Services are 11:30 a.m. Friday at Runge, Davenport. Burial is in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday.

He was born Oct. 13, 1928, in Kellerton, Iowa, to Weldon and Alice (CLARK) WHITE.

Survivors are his wife, Eva; daughter, Diana EURITT, Kellerton, Iowa; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and siblings, Esther TRAUT, Oskaloosa, Iowa, John, Davenport, and Jim, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

OBITUARY - DONALD EUGENE WHITE

MT. AYR, Iowa ? Donald Eugene WHITE, 79, of Mt. Ayr, Iowa, formerly of Davenport, died Friday, September 19, 2008, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral services will be Friday, September 26, 2008, at 11:30 a.m. at The Runge Mortuary in Davenport. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Donald was born October 13, 1928, in Kellerton, Iowa, the son of Weldon and Alice (CLARK) WHITE. He was united in marriage to Evalee M. CASEY on February 28, 1949, in Leon, Iowa.

Donald was formerly employed at Foremost Packing Plant in East Moline and in his later years, retired from Oscar Mayer in Davenport after 20 years of service. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially watching his grandson, James at bowling and Patrick at his go-cart races. He was an avid woodworker and loved to fish. He attended and was baptized at the Baptist Church in Ocala, Florida. Don and Evalee loved camping in their fifth wheel around the United States, traveling from Arizona to Texas and ending in Florida, where they spent their winters.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Evalee, Mt Ayr, Iowa; daughter, Diana (John) EURITT, Kellerton, Iowa; grandsons, Patrick (Kim) KELLER, Davenport, and James (Lauren) KELLER, Bettendorf; great-grandchildren, Brandon KELLER, Chloe SEXTON, Hayley Keller, Andrew KELLER, and Abigail KELLER; sister, Esther (Ed) TRAUT, Oskaloosa, Iowa; brothers, John (Sondra) WHITE, Davenport, and Jim (Betty) WHITE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews and his daughter's beloved Chihuahua, Honey.

His parents, a great-granddaughter, Leah KELLER, and a beloved Pug, Sam, preceded him in death.
