DEATH of MRS. W. M. WELCHER.

Mrs. W. M. Welcher died Friday, September 16, at her home in Benton, age sixty-eight years and twelve days. She was born September 4, 1830, in New York, her maiden name being Mary L. OWEN. She, with her husband, has resided in Ringgold county since 1881, part of the time on a farm, but for the past few years in Benton. She was a member of the Christian church, and enjoyed its ministrations. The funeral was conducted at 10:30 Saturday by Rev. Edgar PRICE, and the remains were laid to rest in the Benton cemetery. The bereaved relatives have the sincere sympathy of many friends.
