NOTICE of DEATH.

We are sorry to announce the death of Mr. A[bsalom]. WELLS which occurred on last Saturday evening at 6 o'clock, after an illness of several months. Mr. WELLS has been a resident of this township for the last twelve or fifteen years, respected and honored by all who knew him. His remains were followed to the Diebert (sic) cemetery by a large concourse of sympathizing friends and neighbors. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his loss. They have the sympathy of the entire neighborhood in their affliction. - IAGO.

NOTE: Absalom WELLS died at the age of 53 years, 2 months and 27 days on May 14, 1887, with interment at Oak Ridge (a.k.a. Forrest Home) Cemetery, Ringgold County, Iowa.
