OBITUARY - LEE ROUTH

Lee ROUTH, 89, of Diagonal died March 17, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Creston. The Rev. Mark WOLDRUFF will officiate the service. Burial will be in Diagonal Cemetery. Open visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home in Diagonal. Memorials may be directed to Diagonal Cemetery.

Mr. ROUTH, son of Carrie Ann (TINDLE) and Frank Leslie ROURTH, was born July 2, 1916, in Diagonal. On February 22, 1938, he married Oneita F. HARTER at the First Christian Church in Creston. He was a farmer.

He was a member of the First Christian Church and Elks Lodge in Creston, American Angus Association and former Diagonal School Board member.

Survivors include his wife, Oneita ROUTH of Diagonal; son Arden ROUTH of Lees Summit, Mo.; daughter Lenita (husband Jon) FOLEY of Bethany, Mo.; grandson Alexander Lee ROUTH of Lees Summit, Mo.; and brother Marvin (wife Dorothy) ROUTH of Lenox.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law Francis and Velda ROUTH; and brother Fred ROUTH.
