OBITUARY - DONALD RAY GOINS

CASAR, NC - Mr. Donald Ray GOINS, 53, of 146 Corinth Church Road, died Friday, February 9, 2001, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.

A native of Omaha, Neb., he was the son of Edith GOINS of Diagonal, Iowa, and the late Lloyd GOINS. He was a crop adjuster for the federal government. He was an avid Dale EARNHARDT fan, and he loved country music, dancing and his many friends and neighbors.

In addition to his father, he was preceeded in death by his wife, June Ann GOINS.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Darin GOINS of Murray, Iowa; four stepsons, Robert ENGLAND of Casar, Jerry ENGLAND of Bagley, Iowa, Dennis ENGLAND of Fort Worth, Texas, and Terry ENGLAND of Wellman, Iowa; two stepdaughters, Carol KINDER of Hatfield, Mo., and Tammy SAMO of Villisca, Iowa; one brother, Jim GOINS of Diagonal; three sisters, Shirley JONES of Joplin, Mo., Linda VANPELT of Urbandale, Iowa, and Betty GREENLEE of Pleasantville, Iowa; two half brothers, Lloyd GOINS of Axtell, Kan., and Bill GOINS of Topeka, Kan.; 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home with the Revs. Thomas IRVIN and Lloyd HUNT officiating. The burial will be at a later date in Clearfield Cemetery, Clearfield, Iowa.

The family will receive friends for an hour and a half before the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Robert ENGLAND, 135 Golden Valley Road, Casar.
