OBITUARY - MARION GARDNER

Marion GARDNER, 70, of Humboldt, formerly of Diagonal, died September 2, 2006, at Humboldt Care Center.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Alan RUSK will officiate the service. Burial will be in Bohemian Cemetery near Diagonal. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Humboldt County.

Marion GARDNER, son of Madge (FOUSER) and Roy GARDNER, was born April 3, 1936, in Ringgold County. On December 26, 1956, Marion married Carolyn DOLECHECK. He was a construction superintendent for Sande Construction and Supply Co.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn GARDNER of Humboldt; son Gary GARDNER of Spencer; three grandchildren; and four brothers, Glenn (wife Alice) GARDNER of Creston, Gerald GARDNER of Diagonal, Wayne GARDNER of Hemet, Calif., and Dean (wife Jackie) GARDNER of South Salem, Ohio.

Marion was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters-in-law.
