NOTICE of DEATH.

The sudden death of Mrs. Hortense (sic) RUBY, consort of A. S. Ruby, cast a gloom over the neighborhood where she had been so long known and esteemed. Her funeral was the largest known to the north part of the county. It transpired on the 3d of February

NOTE: Hortensa B., first wife of Addison S. RUBY (1839-1946), was born in 1844 in Indiana, and died in 1874 with interment at Centenary Cemetery near Knowlton, Ringgold County, Iowa. Hortensa and Addison's daughter, Harriet J. RUBY, was born in 1862, and died at the age of fifteen years on February 27, 1878 with interment at Centenary Cemetery.
