OBITUARY.

Died, Miss Hattie J. RUBY, daughter of A. S. Ruby, aged 15 years, 4 months and 3 days, on the 27th of Feb, 1878.

She was a member of the M. E. church in full and regular standing, and left satisfactory evidence of her acceptance with God. To know her, was to love her. She had progressed with unusual interest in her studies and seemed to show an increased thoughtfulness and amiability of disposition. She was a patient sufferer in sickness and has gone where the inhabitants shall not say, "I am sick."

She leaves a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn her loss till they meet her in glory. May heaven sustain, comfort and keep them unto everlasting life and give them a happy reunion in the courts of heaven.--J.J. CALDWELL

NOTE: Harriet J. RUBY was born in 1862. Harriet's father, Addison S. RUBY, was born in 1839, and died in 1946. Her mother, Hortensa B. (?) RUBY, was born in 1844, and died in 1874. They were interred at Centenary Cemetery.
