OBITUARY.

Died of measles, at Knowlton, March 19, 1889, Arthur Garfield RUBY, aged 8 yrs., 2 mo., 8 da. Arthur was the son of A. S. & H. B. RUBY. He was to his parents, a precious child. Never strong physically, his frail condition naturally enlarged the sympathies, and increased the solicitude of the parents. His friends have great consolation, knowing that while this tender plant was ill adapted to life in this rough world, he was unusually interested in, and prepared for the world beyond. Arthur was a very conscientious child as to truthfulness. He was quite interested in talking of God, and the heavenly world, inquiring and talking with his mother of the heavenly state and wishing to know if he should die, whether he would go to that good world. May parents and children meet in heaven.

NOTE: Arthur Garfield RUBY was born on January 11, 1881, and died Marth 19, 1889 with interment at Centenary Cemetery near Knowlton, Ringgold County, Iowa. Arthur's father, Addison S. RUBY, was born in 1839, and died in 1946. Arthur's mother, Harriet B. (?) RUBY, was born in 1857, and died in 1934. They were interred at Centenary Cemetery.
