OBITUARY.

Mrs. Jas. H. RUBY died last Wednesday and was buried Friday, at Bethel Cemetery. Her children, Baldwin and wife, and James were called from Kansas to visit her in her last sickness.

Mrs. Cinthia (sic) A. RUBY, wife of James H. RUBY, was born in Vermillion county, Indi., Oct. 9, 1822. Was married to James H. RUBY, December 24, 1840, went with him to Edgar county, Ills. In 1846 they returned to Vermillion county Ind. In 1855 they moved to Ringgold county, where they lived fifteen years. In 1870 they moved to Lyon county, Kansas, returning to Ringgold county in 1871, where she lived until her death, Feb. 27, 1884.

She joined the M. E. church in 1841, and continued a faithful member of the same, dying in the triumphs of a living faith. She was the mother of fourteen children four of them have gone before her. Ten, with a loving husband, are still living to mourn her death, seven are living in Iowa, two in Kansas, and one in Mo. The funeral took place Feb. 29, at 12 M, in the M. E. church at Goshen, sermon preached by Rev. C. W. STUART, from Rev. xiv 13. From the church a large concourse of relatives and friends followed her remains to Bethel cemetery, where her body found its last resting place, while her ransomed soul winged its flight to join loved ones gone before, and be at rest with her Redeemer. "Let me die the death of the righteous,and let my last end be like his."

Mr. RUBY wishes to thank the friends and neighbors, for their kindness, sympathy, and help to him and his family during their affliction.

NOTE: James H. RUBY, husband of Cynthia, was born May 16, 1820, and died December 12, 1912 with interment at Bethel Cemetery near Diagonal, Ringgold County, Iowa. Alimira M., daughter of Cynthia and J. H. RUBY, died on August 21, 1871, and was interred at Bethel Cemetery.
