OBITUARY - EARL ROUDYBUSH

Earl ROUDYBUSH, 88, of Mount Ayr died Thursday, December 21, 2006, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Susan THOMAS will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr. Open visitation will be after 9 a.m. Tuesday, with family receiving friends 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials will be established in his name.

Earl ROUDYBUSH, son of Madge A. (GOODALE) and John C. ROUDYBUSH, was born November 12, 1918, in Taylor County. Earl graduated from Diagonal High School in 1936. On Jan. 14, 1939, Earl married Helen L. LYDDON in Bedford. Earl was a farmer and oil speculator.

Earl was a member of Mount Ayr United Methodist Church.

Earl is survived by his children, Cheryl Deanna CAMPBELL of Decatur, Gary (wife Kris) ROUDYBUSH of Mount Ayr and Bonnie (husband Mike) SHIMER of Bedford; twin brother Burl ROUDYBUSH of Muscatine; five grandchildren, Brian (wife Jindra) ROUDYBUSH and Kevin ROUDYBUSH (friend Tonia PONTIER), all of Osceola, Julie (husband Sterling) WEEDA of Boone, and Neil SHIMER of Bedford; four great-grandchildren, Dawson KELLER, Christian ROUDYBUSH, Hannah WEEDA and Dillon WEEDA and brother-in-law James DARST of Clearfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife on November 16, 1999, daughter Betty Joyce ROUDYBUSH, sister Ruth HALEY; sisters-in law, Ruth ROUDYBUSH and Hilda DARST and brother-in-law Harry HALEY.
