SERVICES HELD WED. for MARY ROUND

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 20, for Mary (QUICK) ROUND, 81, of Bedford.

Mrs. ROUND died January 18, 1982 in Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.

Services were held in the Blockton Christian Church with Rev. Mel SMITH officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery near Redding, Ia.

MARY E. ROUND, 81, FINAL RITES WERE HELD JANUARY 20

Funeral services for Mrs. Lester [Mary] ROUND, 81, of Bedford, held January 20 in the Blockton Christian Church, were officiated by Rev. Mel SMITH. Mrs. Round died January 18 in Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery near Redding, Iowa.

Mary E. ROUNG, daughter of William White QUICK and Eliza (MILLER) QUICK, was born at Redding, Iowa, April 2, 1900. She grew to maturity in the Redding community where she attended the public school and was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

On July 31, 1922, she married James Leroy STEPHENS at Des Moines, Iowa. To this union two children were born. They resided on a farm east of Blockton. James Leroy preceded her in death on June 5, 1939.

Mary was united in marriage to Lester Lloyd ROUND May 1, 1975, and he preceded her in death on March 31, 1979.

Mary was a member of the Christian Church in Blockton, Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary, and World War One Veterans.

Left to cherish her memory are: two daughters, Mrs. Edith E. CAMPBELL and son-in-law, Jack, Blockton, Iowa, and daughter Dr. Edna E. PEART, Denver, Colorado; five grandchildren: J. R. CAMPBELL and wife, Ann, Topeka, Kansas; Allen CAMPBELL and wife Sandy, Denver, Colorado; Lisa CAMPBELL, Des Moines, Iowa; Roger PEART, Durango, Colorado; Barbara PEART, Durango, Colorado; four great grandchildren: Teresa and Curt CAMPBELL, Denver, Colorado and Tracy and Jody CAMPBELL, Topeka, Kansas; a step daughter, Lorraine O’DELL and her husband Bill O’DELL, and their children Bob and Martha; three sisters-in-law: Maude QUICK, June STEPHENS, Ruby STEPHENS; brother-in-law, Merritt SOUTH; nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed cooking (chocolate chip cookies a specialty), sewing, reading, and games with her great grandchildren. Mary was a kind and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandma and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
