OBITUARY.

Mary Jane RIGGS, daughter of Ezekiel R. and Elizabeth Ann RIGGS, was born in Medford, Mass., June 5, 1851, and died at her home in Mount Ayr December 10, 1933, at the age of 82 years and six months.

She lived with her parents in Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, Illinois and since the death of her mother in 1917 has made her home with her only brother at Mount Ayr, Iowa.

Miss RIGGS was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and was faithful in attendance as long as her health and strength permitted.

For more than three years she has been confined to her home and to her bed. She was a kind and loving sister and will be greatly missed by her brother, George H. RIGGS, and by those who knew her.

She passed away peacefully from the home of her brother on Sunday morning at 10 o'clock.

The funeral was held at the Rhoades Funeral Home at 2:30 on Tuesday afternoon, December 12, 1933, and the body was laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery [Mount Ayr].

NOTE: Elizabeth Ann RIGGS, mother of Mary Jane, was born in 1825. Ezekiel R. RIGGS, Mary Jane's father, was born in 1826, and died November 9, 1907. They were interred at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa.
