NOTICE of DEATH.

A sad case of death by poisoning occurred in Tingley township on Wednesday of last week. The little four year old son of John RIEDESEL, a German living two miles southeast of Eugene, accompanied his father to the field after dinner, where he amused himself until about 4 o'clock, when he grew tired and started for the house. He told his mother, on reaching home, that he had taken a drink at the creek, on his way from the field. In a few moments he complained of a pain in his stomach, and grew sick so rapidly that before Mr. RIEDESEL could get a doctor, he was beyond recovery. He died in fifteen minutes after the doctor arrived. The symptoms indicated poisoning, and upon search being made, a vegetable resembling the wild parsnip, which had evidently been lately pulled up, was found where he drank.

The funeral occurred at the house on Thursday, Rev. Mr. BROWN officiating, after which the remains were interred in the cemetery at Eugene.
