OBITUARY - MARGARET (DRISKELL) RICKER

Margaret RICKER, 98, of Mount Ayr, died January 26, 2005, at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Services 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 29, at the United Church of Diagonal. The Rev. Eydie STEPHENS will officiate the service. Burial will be in Diagonal Cemetery. There is open visitation with the family receiving friends 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. Memorials may be directed to Margaret RICKER Endowment for Maroons and Raiders reader programs.

Mrs. RICKER, daughter of Ida (BROWN) and Walter DRISKELL, was born July 19, 1906, in Mount Ayr. She graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1924. On February 22, 1927, she married Theodore E. RICKER in Diagonal. She was a farm wife. She was a member of the United Church of Diagonal and Mariam Circle.

Survivors include two sons, Junior (wife Frances) RICKER and Bob (wife Lucy) RICKER, both of Mount Ayr; a brother-in-law, Robert STURR of Orient; a sister-in-law, Agnes DRISKELL of Creston; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Everett and Don DRISKELL; and four sisters, Eva SOBOTKA, Ethel WINN, Mildred MIERS and Irene STUTT.
