OBITUARY.

Mrs. Sarah REED died at her home in Poe township, Sunday afternoon after a long and painful illness. She has been long a resident of this county, coming here over 16 years ago. In early life she joined the United Presbyterian church, and was a faithful and consistent member. The funeral services were conducted at 10 o'clock Tuesday forenoon at the residence by her pastor, Rev. H. T. JACKSON, and the remains interred in Rose Hill cemetery [Mount Ayr]. She leaves one son, G. A. REED, to mourn her death.

NOTE: Sarah REED was born in 1834, Pennsylvania, and died at the age of 63 on February 21, 1897.
