The Ringgold Record, 1883

NOTICE of DEATH

DIED--of diptheria, upon Sept. 17th, 1883, Elmer COLE, aged two years, one month, and six days.

Elmer was an interesting child, the only one of his parents. He was a twin the other having passed away a year since. This is a great bereavement. They have the hearty sympathy of their neighbors, many of whom were at the funeral. The writer of this preached the discourse, assumed that "of such is the kingdom of God,"

He has gone where winter ne'er succeeds
The gentle seasons and then beauty mars.
There - there are richer meads,
Than ever bloomed underneath the stars.
-E.B.H.
