RUTH A. (LUCAS) BRAMON
Ruth A. BRAMON, 94, of Nampa [Idaho], died Monday, February 3, 1997, at her home. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at Persons-Plahitt Funeral Chapel, Nampa, with the Rev. Duane BUHLER presiding. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell [Idaho].
Ruth was born November 24, 1902, at Mt. Ayr, Iowa, a daughter of Sam and Lillie LUCAS. She attended school in Mt. Ayr where she also taught music lessons. She married Otto W. BRAMON at Mt. Ayr, iowa, on July 4, 1922, where they farmed. They moved to Idaho in 1938, farming in the Nampa area for many years.
Ruth worked at the Nampa State School for 10 years, making many lasting relationships with fellow employees. She was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church, Nampa. For many years she played the piano at church every Sunday.
After her retirement, she resided at their farm staying very busy crocheting and making afghans for her children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed growing and working with her flowers.
Ruth will be remembered as a Godly Mother, Grandmother, and friend. Her Bible is well worn and read as she leaves her loved ones behind and now is with her Heavenly Father.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Franklin and Darlene of Boisie; a daughter, Donella DURHAM of NAMPA; a brother-in-law, Dwight BRAMON of Nampa; four grandchildren, Ken DURHAM of Boisie, Clyde DURHAM of Nampa; Dennis BRAMON of Twin Falls and Joy FENRENBACHER of Seattle, Wash.; eighteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto; her parents; four sisters; and her son-in-law, Robert DURHAM.
