I have many ancestors on both mother's and father's sides who had/have connections in Poweshiek County. At present, it's the Stinson surname I'm researching. William H. Stinson married Ida Mae Black in 1892, and I know they lived just north of Poweshiek Co. for a time in the 1890s. It could have been near Gilman in Marshall Co. William H. and his son Cloid and his wife and newborn are buried in Chester Cemetery. William's wife Ida Mae remarried and became Mrs. John Ransom Renner. I am looking for any information re Stinsons, and especially a woman named Blanche Stinson, who was born in 1890/1891.
