Carroll Myron Hagen was born 11-Apr-1926 to Velma B. Saunders (d of Rueben and Adaline Saunders) and William Fredrick Hagen (son of Elizabeth Hagen) and died 23-May-1936 at the age of ten. He is buried in the Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.

William and Velma are listed in Iowa State Census Collection, 1836-1925 (1925) William 34 -Velma 23 living in Grinnell, Poweshiek, Iowa, USA.

Looking for an obituary or anything that tells me how Carroll Myron Hagen died. Also looking to see why he was living with his Grandmother Adda Saunders in 1930 Census at the age of 4. Can not find any info on Velma B. (Saunders) Hagen after the 1925 census.

Did Velma Possibly die in childbirth with Carroll or did she and William get divorced.

Have no idea what Fern's maiden name was.

Any info would be helpful.

Is there any way to find the name of the Grinnell newspaper at that time that would have possibly had Carroll Myron Hagen's obit in? If so does anyone know if they have an archives of their past papers in that erra and how to contact them for a copy?
